NOMAPACK® Protective Profiles – now with at least 35% PCR
Recycled materials have been used in selected NOMAPACK® protective profiles for several years. Products marked accordingly contain at least 30% recycled polyethylene.*
Since 2025, selected NOMAPACK® foam profiles contain at least 35% post-consumer recycled (PCR) polyethylene.* The range of appropriately labelled foam profiles is being expanded step by step.
* The recycled content, based on the total product weight, is verified by the independent third-party certification body Centexbel in accordance with EN ISO 14021:2016 and EN 15343:2007 under the QA-CER certification scheme (Certificate No. CTB_QA-CER_C_2025041). The stated recycled and PCR content applies exclusively to products that are specifically identified as such on the packaging and in the technical documentation.
What is post-consumer recycled (PCR) material?
Post-consumer recycled material is obtained from plastic materials that have already been used and subsequently processed through recycling. It therefore differs from post-industrial recycled (PIR) material, which is typically derived from suitable production scrap.
